Citizens Advice Torridge, North, Mid & West Devon 2024 Living Standards Report

Introduction 

This report looks at the impact of living standards in the Torridge, North, Mid and West Devon areas.
The sources of data used to understand the impact on local people are as follows:

• A survey carried out at 3 events in July 2024:
• North Devon Homes (NDH) Summer Fayre
• Bideford Soapbox Derby
• Mid Devon Show, Tiverton

Throughout the report, results reflect the combined results from all 3 events – unless there was a significant difference between populations. Results from last year’s NDH survey are shown in parentheses, for comparison.

• Local and National Citizens Advice data, drawn from interactions with people seeking help and advice on a range of problems – to provide context and depth of understanding (sources are named throughout the report).

The report is organised around the top living standards concerns expressed by those that completed our survey.
